I so whole-heartedly believe that hitting, shaming, power play, and punishments have no role in my life – and especially in raising the ones to walk this planet next. It doesn’t take a yogi to see that.
My friend Julia said it best: We need to connect to that vibration of deep trust that all is in our best interest. Others call it believing in the good things coming. Knowing that there is a reason deep down why I keep choosing the harder path.I’m glad I don’t have to do it alone. I have all of you. There is music and poetry and art and dance. We are rising as a planet.
“Oh I fear nothing, no thing fears me. Justice has different hats for different days. Please release my anger, love thy neighbor. Put that pain to some good use anyway. I will do things I’ve never done before, ‚cause I’m powerful and I’m not afraid no more!
Said I’m powerful and I’m not afraid no more“ – Nahko and Medicine for the People
A lot of questions without a definite answer. Asking 5 different yogis will bring at least 5 different perspectives. So here is mine. It is young, based on only a few months of teaching. It is wise, based on thousands of hours spent ‚holding space‘ for people in distress.
